AROMATHERAPY FOR EVERYDAY USE

This weekend immersion course will guide you through 20-30 of the best known most researched and effective essential oils looking at their actions and best mode of use.  It will mix hands on practical preparations with guided learning covering the basics of what essential oils are, the safety precautions, how to purchase, store and use oils to gain maximum effect.  Topics we will cover are immunity, psychological wellbeing, health maintenance and oils for cleaning the home and body.  Special topics can be requested throughout the course such as oils suitable for children, specific issues such as menopause and first aid.

PILATES - MAT PILATES FOR  BEGINNERS 


Start your Pilates experience by building a strong foundation in the Pilates method through mat-based exercises. These fundamental exercises will promote excellent core strength, body awareness, flexibility and relaxation. This is a non rehabilitation Pilates class. If you have any back issues or injuries please inform the office before enrolling and the tutor will contact you directly. This course is part of the Accredited Strength and Balance Programme (Live Stronger for Longer) through Sport Canterbury but is unsuitable for students during pregnancy.

Take your Pilates to the next level by exploring more challenging exercises and choreography using the Pilates ring and a stability core ball . These Pilates props will help increase your core strength, postural awareness, co-ordination balance and flexibility. This is a general Hatha Yoga class for those who have some yoga experience.  This class offers different postures, (Asana) breathing and relaxation techniques to enhance well being.  A great way to relax at the end of the day.
