PILATES - MAT PILATES FOR BEGINNERS - LEVEL 1A
Start your Pilates experience by building a strong foundation in the Pilates method through mat-based exercises. These fundamental exercises will promote excellent core strength, body awareness, flexibility and relaxation. This is a non rehabilitation Pilates class. If you have any back issues or injuries please inform the office before enrolling and the tutor will contact you directly. This course is part of the Accredited Strength and Balance Programme (Live Stronger for Longer) through Sport Canterbury but is unsuitable for students during pregnancy.

Reiki is an energy healing modality which is very easy to learn. Learn the history of Reiki, understand the energy system in the body and how to give a Reiki treatment to yourself and others.

TAI CHI - BEGINNER LEVEL
A short course for beginners in Tai Chi and those who would like to refresh in a kind, relaxing environment. We will concentrate on Yang style, building towards the 8 form. The course also includes elements of Qigong.

YOGA FOR BEGINNERS
Regardless of age or level of fitness, yoga can help improve strength, balance, flexibilty and calmness of mind. This class is a great choice if you are a beginner or looking for a gentle yoga practice. The class incorporates yoga breathing techniques. yoga movement sequences and relaxation. It is not suitable for students who are pregnant. It is recommended that participants are able to sit on the floor and can easily get down/up from the floor.
