Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
This introductory course will cover some of the history and current understandings of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Participants will gain an inside perspective of neurodiversity from a Tutor who has a lived experience of ASD, with the aim of fostering greater understanding and more effective communication for all. Indicators of neurodiversity, and how to respond appropriately will also be explored. Through fun, interactive and informative sessions, participants will gain greater insight into the lived experience of ASD, and take away some practical strategies to support communication with neurodiverse family, friends and colleagues.
