Trace Your Roots - An Introduction to Genealogy

Participants will develop their family tree and find their ancestors. Some knowledge of the names and birth places of ancestors is needed. Ancestors born before 1924 or married before 1949 can be traced. Find your famous ancestors! Participants will be guided to identify freely available web based sources for genealogical study, along with understanding some of the issues of family research such as pitfalls, restrictions and privacy. Researching historical incidents and people will also be touched upon.
