CHINESE FOR BEGINNERS - Still Vacancies

This course is for people with little or no knowledge of Chinese.  It provides grounding in the pronunciation and very basic vocabulary of the language, for people interested in travelling to China, doing business with Chinese, or simply striking up a simple conversation with the Chinese speakers they encounter.  The course will introduce cultural elements of China and Chinese alongside linguistic expressions.

FRENCH FOR BEGINNERS - PART 2 - Course Cancelled Term 4

This course is a continuation of the French conversation for beginners course which ran for 7 weeks in Term 3.  Participants will need some basic French.  Emphasis will be on learning French which will be useful for you when you're in France; for organizing your site seeing, for shopping, for managing rail and air travel, for booking accommodation, for cafes and restaurants, for seeking directions and for driving etc.  We will also be discussing the various area of France which you might like to visit.  The emphasis will be on spoken French but we will be learning some basic grammar and vocabulary in a written form as well.

SPANISH FOR BEGINNERS LEVEL 1 - LANGUAGES - Courses - Adult & Community Education - Papanui High School

Following on from the Spanish for Beginners Part 1 course in term 1, Spanish for Beginners Part 2 will enhance the interactivity of your Spanish in various day to day contexts including travelling in Spain or Latin America.  Start to develop basic conversations; book a hotel; enquire about attractions or simply pick up groceries.  Also expect to further develop a wider vocabulary and more speaking exercises in class. This class aims to give you the ability to create sentences and therefore give you greater confidence in your Spanish.
