Lip Sync 2018
Last week saw the long awaited return of the Papanui High School Lip Sync battle. There was a huge turnout for everyone dancing along to their favourite tunes, and competing for their houses. This year was a resounding success, seeing a diverse range of songs and thunderous applause from the audience. Judging the performances were student leader Kent Sole, head singer of the staff band Mr Campfens, and Alex Reeves, a member of the Arts Council, who helped organise the event. The winner of the Wednesday house competition was Ethen Noesgaard, a fan favourite who also won the same prize last year. The next day was also a resounding success, with many teachers participating in acts of their own, to great effect. We can’t wait until the next one rolls around.
