COVID Alert level 4 update 30 August 2021
Monday 30 August 2021
Kia ora koutou
Today we received confirmation that our region will be moving to Alert Level 3 at 11.59pm Tuesday August 31. At this stage, we will stay in Alert Level 3 for a period of one week (through to 11.59pm Tuesday, September 7), with review on Monday, September 6.
Our Teaching and Learning plan for this week started today with form teachers checking and connecting where possible with members of their form class and their parents/whānau or caregivers. This process will likely carry over to Tuesday when we also resume our online teaching schedule. Please keep in mind that the expectation is that students do what is manageable given their personal circumstances.
The purpose of schools reopening under Alert Level 3 is to help parents/whānau of essential workers or those who are required to work by their employer and alternative supervision is not available for distance learning. The Ministry has set this currently, for students upto Year 10.
Information regarding attendance at school under Alert Level 3 criteria was emailed today to parents/whānau or caregivers of Year 9 and 10 students. The aim was to have responses today, (Monday, August 30) by 3 pm. If you have not been able to respond yet, can you please do so as soon as possible so that we can confirm our Alert Level 3 school roll.
Keep safe and take care.
