COVID Alert level 4 update 27 August 2021

Kia ora koutou
Today we heard some positive news from the Prime Minister in relation to our region, with a scheduled move to Alert Level 3 at 11.59pm Tuesday evening. We are in the process of organising our school to be open under Alert Level 3 conditions from Wednesday September 1. There is still a certain degree of clarification that the Ministry of Health is yet to provide but we hope to have more up-to-date information by Monday. In the meantime, the Ministry of Education has asked us to plan for the same Alert Level 3 conditions that we operated under in April 2020 but expect some minor "tweaks". The purpose of schools reopening under Alert Level 3 is to help parents/whānau of essential workers or those who are required to work by their employer and alternative supervision is not available for distance learning. This is currently set at students up to Year 10. A separate response sheet to gather this information will be sent out on Monday August 30.
The teaching and learning plan for week 6 remains unchanged. Keep safe and take care.
