This class would be ideal for the student that would like to expand their knowledge and explore different forms of mediums through to the novice that has little or no prior knowledge or experience of Art. Learn the differences between acrylic paints and mediums such as paints, gels, pastes, grounds and additives, explore colour and colour mixing.

CREATIVE SOY CANDLE MAKING 

Learn to create your own soy container candles and melts, either for yourself or ideal as a gift.  Discover more about soy wax, fragrance, wick selection and trouble shooting commom candle making issues.  This is a hands on course where you will make 3 full sized scented candles, 6 melts, 5 tea lights and 1 votive.  The cost of all materials is included in the course fee

CROCHET FOR BEGINNERS 

Have you always wanted to learn how to crochet?  Come along and join this fun class where you will learn the basic crochet techniques of chain, double crochet, treble and tieing off.  Students will do some practice crocheting, which can be turned into an object of their choice they will also learn to make a beanie and a granny square - which is the basic square for many blanket designs.  Course fee includes materials - 2 balls of rhythm yarn, 1 Hippie Hank, 1 Ball Groove yarn, 2 Knit Pro Crochet hooks, Professional pattern, Pattern book, Needle for sewing seams, discount voucher for Crucci Magic

KNITTING FOR BEGINNERS - Course Cancelled

In this fun class students will learn the basic knitting techniques to cast on, cast off, knit stitch, purl stitch, garter stitch, stocking stitch and single rib. MOSAICS - CREATE YOUR OWN MASTERPIECE BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED - Course Cancelled Term 4



Are you a Magpie that likes collecting treasurers, such as beautfiul old china, coloured glass, mirror, stone, beads, coins and much more. A combination of these items can be turned into a Mosaic masterpiece made by yourself. Come along to this fun class and learn how to Mosaic. No experience is required, just a desire to learn this craft.

As a beginner you would start on a small item so you get to learn all the steps from the start to finish. This will give you the confidence for your next project. On the first night bring along a pen and paper and any mosaic images and treasures that you have collected. Take the time to have a look on the internet for ideas and also check our your local library. If you already have tile snippers bring them along, however I will show you on your first night which are the best tile snipper to purchase to continue with the next class.

This course is designed for those people who are beginners in the field of woodwork. The class will begin by making common project eg Tea Tray. From there after gaining skills from the above projects you can move on to make a project of your choice provided it is within the range of your capabilities. Additional project costs involved.
