Bee Keeping Intro

BEE KEEPING INTRO 

Are your fruit trees not yielding sufficient fruit? Is your garden short of bees? Do you want to contribute to the environment by having a bee hive in your back yard. Then come along to this introductory course which will cover beehive construction, managing a beehive and information on recognition of diseases.

COURSE LENGTH 6 weeks.  There will be 5 sessions at Papanui High School in the classroom
and one field trip (date to be confirmed with class once it starts)
COURSE NUMBER 205/4
COURSE FEE $110
REQUIREMENTS Students will need to bring a hammer, battery drill and pliers along with their own bee suit (hat and veil) or a 1/2 suit. Can be purchased from Ecrotek in Sheffield Crescent or online from Beeline supplies.
ADDITIONAL COSTS Students can purchase a start up kit from tutor if they wish at the end of the course cost $605 plus cost of bees
